Vision Document – True National Reconciliation – PLA
Restoring Order, Trust, and Hope in the State of Israel
📝 Introduction
The State of Israel faces a deep challenge of social division, erosion of public trust in governmental institutions, and a sense of ethical and functional confusion.
This situation is not accidental, but a result of continuous deviation from order, boundaries, and the mission of individuals and systems.
The vision of True National Reconciliation – PLA aims to propose a comprehensive process of repair, based on Jewish sources, principles of responsibility, repentance, healing, and connection – with faith in the ability of the people of Israel to return to their true purpose.
The foundation of the vision is rooted in the prophecy of Jeremiah:
"There is hope for your future, declares the Lord, and the children shall return to their borders" Source: Jeremiah 31:16
Meaning: There is hope for the future even after crises; returning to the border is returning to the correct and just place.
This vision sees the restoration of boundaries – personal, institutional, and national – as essential for healing, peace, and growth.
🌟 Core Principles
Order and Boundaries – Every person and system must operate within their proper boundaries, as taught by the Ramchal:
"Everything shall stand within its proper limits"
Source: Ramchal, Mesilat Yesharim, Gate of Order
Meaning: Everything is created with a limit, and God expects each system and person to remain within their proper boundaries to maintain order.
Truth and Repentance – There can be no reconciliation without truth, and no truth without the possibility of repentance and repair, as Rabbi Nachman teaches:
"Teshuvah is when a person returns to their own truth"
Source: Rabbi Nachman of Breslov, Sefer HaTeshuvah
Meaning: Repentance is a return to a person’s internal and essential truth, not just external correction.
People’s Sovereignty – The people are the source of authority to elect their leaders, and leadership acts on behalf of the public, not in its place.
Healing, Not Revenge – The process is not intended as punishment for its own sake, but as repair, healing, and strengthening of society.
🛡 Pillars of the Vision – PLA
1️⃣ Establishing an Alternative Judicial System – Sanhedrin
The existing judicial system has collapsed and harmed public trust.
A fundamental repair based on Torah values, justice, and morality is required.
A Sanhedrin will be established – a supreme body of sages and people of truth, whose role is to:
- Determine public and moral truth
- Set clear boundaries between authorities
- Restore public trust in the system
The Sanhedrin will serve as a moral compass, not a replacement for the sovereignty of the people.
Officials who overstepped their boundaries will undergo a process of Teshuvah and be directed to educational-social roles.
"Everything shall stand within its proper limits" (Ramchal, Mesilat Yesharim, Gate of Order)
2️⃣ A Dedicated Social Network for Social Repair through Teshuvah
A dedicated social network will be established for social repair through Teshuvah.
Every person will be able to:
- Acknowledge
- Repent
- Move forward
The emphasis will be on growth and progress, not holding onto mistakes or shame.
Even those who harmed their people – if they sincerely return – will be forgiven, just as God forgives.
"There is hope for your future" (Jeremiah 31:16)
Meaning: There is always a chance for recovery, repair, and growth, even after failures.
3️⃣ Return to Absolute Truth – Free Choice and a “Social Empowerment” Role
Anyone who acted against their people can acknowledge the reasons that caused them not to be a patriot faithful to God, such as:
- Pride
- Confusion
- Imagination
- Evil inclination
- Desire
- Pursuit of honor
- Fear, threats, extortion
- External or internal pressures
Elected officials: The people choose their leaders, and those who sincerely repent – if the people grant renewed trust – may return to lead.
Officials who transgressed: Will receive a new role: Social Empowerment.
The educational-social role aims to:
- Teach how to repair
- Teach how to do Teshuvah
- Teach how to prevent recurring failure
The failure itself becomes a tool for societal repair and strengthening.
"Teshuvah is when a person returns to their own truth" (Rabbi Nachman of Breslov, Sefer HaTeshuvah)
4️⃣ Kibbutzim – Connection and Growth through Partnership
Kibbutzim are an educational, social, and national anchor, providing a framework for shared living, study, and work, strengthening community foundations.
Expanding kibbutzim will include diverse populations: new immigrants, Hasidim, religious groups, and others seeking true partnership.
Kibbutzim will provide a space for study, work, community life, and mutual empowerment, emphasizing values of respect, cooperation, and friendship.
Kibbutzim foster connection between different parts of society, moving beyond a culture of humility and connection, while cultivating social resilience, mutual support, and integration across all backgrounds.
"Where there is no peace – the Shekhinah does not dwell" (Zohar, Parashat Chukat, Zohar Kadosh Part A, folio 119b)
Explanation: When there is no peace among people or the community, the Divine Presence does not dwell; peace is the foundation of the Shekhinah, and social connection is essential for manifesting spiritual presence and divine light in society.
